There are plenty of different photography styles out there, but two of them are Lifestyle photography and Traditional photography. Lifestyle may be a new term for you, but it’s not new to photography. You may know this term a little better if I use the word, candid. Candid photos and lifestyle go hand in hand. It’s capturing you and your family in a safe environment while you are experiencing real life moments. It shows your real smile, and your real feelings. I’ll explain the difference further below.
Lifestyle photography is a term used by photographers to explain their own personal aesthetic. This is an art not every photographer uses, nor is it everyone’s personal style. What lifestyle photography portrays in photos are the following:
Your Real Smile
Your Real Feelings
Not everyone is a fan of lifestyle photography, and that is perfectly OK! You are allowed to have your own style, and therefore you need to find the right photographer that fits your style. So, if lifestyle doesn’t fit you then you are probably more traditional.
Traditional photography is what a lot of people love. It’s when most of your family is looking directly into the camera and everyone is smiling beautifully. Traditional photography is easier when your children get older, however, it can be captured with little ones too. Here are a few examples of traditional photography.
